Loughborough University
Thu 23rd September, 2010 at 9:30 am until Fri 24th September, 2010 at 6:00 pm at Loughborough University
This unique conference aims to bring together economists, bankers, finance experts, organizational psychologists and policymakers to share views on the impact of the recent economic crisis and financial market disruption on enterprise activity in Britain. A small number of papers (9-12) will be selected for presentation at the conference and thus, the competition is expected to be intense. We invite only strong theoretical and empirical papers on areas related to the conference theme. However, we would like to devote a part of the conference to small- and medium-sized lending and firm birth/growth/survival in turbulent times, so submissions in these areas are especially encouraged. Individuals wishing to present a paper should submit an abstract of about 300 words by August 15, 2010, in electronic format (PDF preferred) to the organizer and Programme Chair, Dr George Saridakis (g.saridakis@lboro.ac.uk). Submitted papers should be unpublished. Notification of acceptance will be sent by August 20, 2010. Completed papers must be received by September 19, 2010. If you wish to attend the conference without presenting a paper, please send an email to Ms Champa Patel as soon as possible (and no later than 1 September 2010) since places are limited. The conference is free and includes lunch.
