How to add an event via Leicestershire Villages
You can add events to Happening in Charnwood through the http://www.leicestershirevillages.com website. We’re particularly interested in seeing listings for local community events.
Leicestershire Villages is a community-edited website for the villages and rural communities of the county. Each village has its own section on the site, maintained by a team of local editors,which is designed to provide information on local facilities, attractions, events and community activities.
Follow the link ‘Leicestershire Villages events page’ on the page for any village in Charnwood on this website. This will take you to the ‘Local Events’ page for the same village on the Leicestershire Villages website. Below the calender is a list of events for that village; at the top of this list of events is a button marked ‘Add New’.
You need to register on Leicestershire Villages to add an event. Registration is free and only takes a minute, and you only need to register the first time you visit the site. If you have registered and logged on, the ‘Add New’ button will take you straight to a page where you can add an event. If you are not logged in, this button will take you to a log-in screen. If you haven’t registered, go to the home page for your village on Leicestershire Villages (you can use the banner at the bottom of the page for the village on this site to get there), and follow the ‘Register’ link at the top right of the page. Alternatively you can go straight to the http://www.leicestershirevillages.com/register.html page and select your home village.
When you have added an event, it will be approved by the site administrators and will then appear in the listings on Happening in Charnwood. The event will also be listed on the Leicestershire Villages site.
