Happening In Charnwood

The Loughborough and District Friends of Cancer Research UK are holding their annual Sponsored Walk event on Sunday 25 April. The aim will be to raise money for the vital research into the causes and treatment of cancer.

This year the walk will start and finish at Groby Pool near Leicester. This is an attractive route, mostly on country footpaths and tracks and will be 5 miles long, with an option of 3 ½ miles.

The time is 9.45 for a 10.0 am start.

It will be suitable for people of all ages who are able to walk this distance and cross three or four stiles. Families are particularly welcome.
